I've been running through my mind,
What you'd want for valentine's day,
But you've given me no clue's,
And it's valentine's today

You get off work in an hour,
And I'm thinking so very hard,
It crossed my mind a few times,
To run to the store and grab a card

But that doesn't sound like me,
I like to show you that I care,
And that clock ticking even faster,
Is making me very aware

I got the idea to make a meal,
One in candlelight,
But it seems we do that a few times a week,
And this is a special night

I got the idea to get some flowers,
And then to sing you a song,
But really what I want to give,
Is all my love so strong

I got the idea to take you,
Anywhere that you'd choose,
But that's not very romantic,
And you would just refuse

The only thing you want,
Is to know how much I love you,
So I guess on this valentine's day,
I'm gonna do what I always do

I'm gonna love you all day,
And hold you all night,
I'm gonna be there always,
To protect you as you're knight

I'm gonna make you a meal,
And bring you flowers and a song,
To let you know I care,
And that our love is strong

I'm gonna take you for a walk,
Together hand-in-hand,
Just to show you that beside you,
Is where I always want to stand

I'm gonna give you a hug,
To feel you're heart beating with mine,
Then later on in the night,
We'll let our body's intertwine

Now I'm gonna do these things,
And my plans are all set,
And I hope this valentine's for you,
Is one that you'll never forget
