History of The Game
Sudoku (Su-Doku) listen is a logic-based number placement puzzle. The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid so that each column, each row, and each of the nine 3x3 boxes contains the digits from 1 to 9. The puzzle setter provides a partially completed grid. Completed Sudoku puzzles are a type of Latin square, with an additional constraint on the contents of individual regions. Leonhard Euler is sometimes cited as the source of the puzzle, based on his work with Latin squares. The modern puzzle was invented by an American, Howard Garns, in 1979 and published by Dell Magazines under the name «Number Place». It became popular in Japan in 1986, when it was published by Nikoli and given the name Sudoku. It became an international hit in 2005. There are some channels of information saying that Sudoku was known in Ancient China and Japan
How To Play
Place a number from 1-9 in each empty cell so that each row, each column and each 3 x 3 block contains all the numbers from 1-9. You have been given some "starter" numbers to help you, and they are shown underlined. Simply click a blank cell to insert your number. If you make a mistake, simply click the number to insert a new one. You can change the Game Mode at any moment to replace numbers by other symbols.
About Statistics
Statistics are gathered on your performance at this game, and the performance of others, too. The Top Ten players are shown. Every time you insert a number, you gain 10 points. But beware! Every time you change a number, you lose 15 points. If you reset the grid, you start the game again with minus 200 points.
You can change the level of difficulty and the next puzzles will be loaded with additional starting numbers depending on chosen level. But remember that maximal price of a puzzle will be decreased by 10 points for each added number
