Hi all,

I'm implementing AJAX to this board!!!
Now its more dynamic and many new features are available!!
Im explaining some of them here!!


� �* Post Menu: While viewing a topic, you can double click on a message of a post and you well get a post menu with a bunch of features for users and moderators.



Double click on the post, u will get one menu! For IE, it will show on top ( Im trying move the location of the menu )


� �* Instant preview: Instead of reading the page when you want to preview your post or pm, you can do it without reloading the page. To get it to work, type your message in and it the preview button.






� �* User list: As you are typing a username in a pm or other places, as user list will be generated with username related to what you are typing.






� �* Inline Post editing: When viewing a topic, double click on a message and a text box should come up. You can make the text box bigger or smaller with the + & - buttons. Just hit submit when you are ready to update the post.








� �* Username Checker: When registering a new account or just change your usrename, the site will automaticly check it the username is takin or not as you type.


� �* Password Checker: When registering a new account or just change your password, the site will tell you if your password matches with images.


� �* Change post title: If you have premission to change the post title, you can double click on the topic title to get a text feild, to have it update hit enter on your keyboard. If you edit the first post title it will also change the topic title.


For Moderators and post owners:


� �* Move topic when viewing a forum: If you have premission to move topics in that forum, will get a move button to the right of the topic title. When you click the button and menu will appear with all the stuff on the really move topic page has.


� �* Lock/Unlock a topic when viewing a forum: If you have premission to lock/unlock topics in that forum, you will be able to click the topic folder image to change the topics status.


� �* Delete/Move/Lock topic when viewing the topic: These features are just like they are in basic phpBB but you can do them without reloading the page.


� �* Delete post: If you have premission to delete the post, you will get a confirm message to make sure you dont want to delete it on accident.


� �* Poll Menu: While viewing a topic, you can double click on the poll, if there is one, and get a menu for that poll. This menu is loaded with features for the moderators.


� �* Delete topic when viewing a forum: If you have premission to delete topics in that forum, will get a delete button to the right of the topic title. When you click the delete button, you'll get a confirm message to see if you really want to delete the topic.

niran bhai,one day i was goin 2 make few suggestions in chit-chat no?then it went blank n i couldnt post any thing there.

well these r my suggestions(or rather doubts.....):

1.can u make the position of emoticons fixed?much time is consumed before the right smiley is found.Or u can change the emoticons comin up in a new window?In chit-chat the emoticons r comin in the same window n its nice.Givin emoticons a fixed place will b much better.

oh ya....another option will be to make the most frequently used emoticons appear in the left window....

2.many times,while making new topic,another user browse the incomplete topic and post.is there anything u can do 2 prevent that?opinion posts before original post is complete doesnt look good.

3.can u provide any pop-up alerts or something like that for chit-chat posts?

4.wat abt organizing some events(like on ur birthday,we couldve organized a virtual cake-cutting)?I think that will be fun.

besides these,i would like to congratulate u for constantly updating this site to keep it fresh n fragrant....great work ...

Chat corner is now in testing phase dude!! Its ajax Based chat corner!
Its having some bugs! I'll try to fix that soon guys!!

1. Im altering litle bit coding friend! Check it friend! The "popup window smileys" will always be in the order!
But I think, keeping smileys in a random order n the posting right panel, will be better, since each time you will get some new random smiley!! ( Some users wont click the "view all smileys" link )
2. That suggestion work is in progress friend! It will be out by this weekend da!
3. Sorry, most of the users wont like popup windows at all
I'll try to put chitchat corner on all pages! IS it ok??

chit-chat on all pages is a nice suggestion,but will it make pages slow 2 load?

regarding events.....i cant actually put it in words...its not calender.......lemme give an example
like today its panwads birthday....he can announce a birthday party(which is the event)....a virtual one....may b usin his fun dollars he can organize it.....something like that line...i cant really put it in words...

also some event on special days like....say vishu....some special stuff on this site on that particular day.....ya thats the idea....some special stuff on this site on that particular day ...now i got it.....u got the idea?
